Final project attempt

My experience using the app inventor software was one of mixed feelings.  Even after I read the instructional page and videos on youtube, I still felt that there were things which I had difficulty figuring out.  Of the things that I was able to figure out, I quickly realized that in order to actually make my app, I would have to be in control, or have access to several things that the university currently controls or hasn't even created yet, in order to make the app work in real life.  It was easy to set up the screen the way that I wanted, but it was rather difficult when trying to put the things that I wanted in the app.  For instance, It was easy to drag the image tag into the app, but it took awhile for me to get the UML image to show up, and in the right position. It was also frustrating when trying to use the blocks editor, even after viewing instructional video's. After about an hour, I started to understand how to use the blocks.  The emulator part of the app is very helpful as well, because it lets you see actually how the app works, or in my case, doesn't work.  The things that did work were the placing of images and whatever else on to the template in the design part, although some of them haven't been created or are things that I can't access because UML owns them.  In order to actually make the app, I would have to work with the school, to be able to access the inside of the ISIS site, to be able to link things from the site to the app.  As recently as today, I was having problems with the ISIS web site on my phone, so it would be awesome if somebody actually created this app, but as I said, they would have to work with the school, or get credentials from the school.  Basically, all I could do was make a screenshot of what I wanted to do because of the non-existent content and the lack of being able to use links from the actual ISIS site.  This app would save lots of student and faculty frustration.

UML ISIS APP

The UML ISIS app encompasses all of the main features of the ISIS program, making it more usable, and making the process of using ISIS much more expedient.  It will have all the main features, like adding and dropping classes, as well as advisor chat sessions and skype access with tutors.  Buy the full app to be able to use the ISIS APP to its highest capabilities.
